 Extended Monitoring (no cost)
  This option allows a participant to extend the interval between scheduled service appointments from one month to two months.
 Smart Idle ($25 per month)
  This option enables users to leave a parked vehicle running for up to 8 hours without having to worry about retest requests.
  It can be activated as soon as a vehicle has been started, or any time the vehicle is parked with the engine running.
 Loss Protection Plan ($15 per month)
  This option covers the full replacement of a Smart Start IID ($1,600.00) in the event that it is lost, damaged, or destroyed in circumstances where the client is not at fault.
 Additional Handset and/or Curly Cord
  Participants who are planning to travel outside Smart Start’s service area can minimize the risk of problems by leasing more equipment:
  1. Additional handset or handsets (breath testing module)
  2. Purchasing an extra curly cord (communication cable).

 - Approved Application form for Alberta’s Ignition Interlock Program
 - Up-to-date vehicle registration and insurance certificate
 - Proof of course completion (Planning Ahead/Impact)
 - Permission to Install Form If bringing a car you do not own
  If you are not the registered owner of the vehicle, you must also bring a Permission to Install form, signed by the registered owner
